Reflectors are particularly important in autumn and winter

Since August 31 last year, every pedestrian who moves at dusk on the road outside the built-up area must have a reflector placed in a way visible to the driver. There is a mandate of up to 100 zlotys for missing a reflective element.

Traffic regulations have for years been required to carry reflective elements. Unfortunately, not everyone uses them.
About how little we are visible on the road without the retro reflectors shows a video from a police video recorder. The young man walking on the K-17 road with no glare is unaware of the danger it causes. Traffic policemen outside the mandate also handed him a reflective vest.

Hikers and cyclists account for more than 30 per cent of the total number of deaths in road accidents. Reflective elements are an extremely important element on the road. The driver can see the person using the glare from a distance of up to 140 meters. This time, it allows for its proper reaction.

Remember that retro-reflective items may be items attached to clothing, armbands or waistcoats. It is important to place them in appropriate places - at the height of your knees, hands, in the area around your chest and back - then we will be sure we are well visible to other road users.
